Carbon Fiber Rocker-Bogie
The Rocker-Bogie is designed to be as lightweight as possible, so it was ideal to make the design completely out of carbon fiber without internal reinforcements.
the shape of the cross-section is the key to making it hollow, light, and strong. The flat sections on the top and bottom give the part strength in the vertical direction, and the valley section provides the part strength in the horizontal direction. When the two halves are fused together it prevents bending of the part.
